Welcome to The MERT Club
The MERT Club is an organisation for all those who served in the
Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) from all three services from 2006 to 2014 in Afghanistan.
MERT flew multiple missions from battlefield to hospital utilising the Chinook helicopter with specialist personnel and equipment. The medical team flew to collect from point of injury, often in austere and challenging conditions and recorded 6,850 priority patients.
The MERT Club's aim is to reunite colleagues who undertook this unique role and share in the extraordinary lived experience.
